POLISH MODERNISM IN THE NEW CENTRE OF LODZ

The monumental building of the Lodz House of Culture is a perfect example of how architecture adapts to the changing requirements of its users. Designed in the interwar period by the outstanding architect Wiesław Lisowski, the building of 7,000 square meters is reminiscent of the modernist spirit. Simple blocks of various heights have been a creative cultural space for the inhabitants of Lodz and the region for many years. Currently, the renovated facade of the building is equipped with a spectacular lighting, which illuminates the LHC in the new city centre.
