The Colourful Locomotive is a series of educational activities undertaken to shape environmental awareness and effective use of natural resources among the youngest inhabitants of the Lodz region. It is aimed at shaping the individual responsibility of the project audience for the state of the environment. For 8 years now, during the holiday season, the Lodz House of Culture has been engaging over 1000 children from the region, creating an ecological-animation offer consisting of workshops, lectures, walks, excursions or competitions aimed at making young people aware that their future, as well as the future of the local environment, depends on them. The added value of the project is presentation of the beauty and tourist values of the Lodz region. The educational activity in the field of ecology is based on cooperation with the Landscape Parks Complex of the Lodz Region.
